Meet Our Team! (Part Two)

As we continue to introduce our team and ask for your continued prayer for them, we also want to highlight the specific ministries our team will be engaged in. Here at HARP, we're not interested in "feel good" mission trips. Instead, we would rather go wherever the Lord wills and calls us to go for the specific purpose of sharing the Gospel of Christ while meeting other earthly needs as we can.

Today, we would ask that you pray for the English Camp ministry. This camp is what we did last year in Kyiv, and proved to be very successful at engaging Ukrainians with the Gospel of Christ. This year, there will be a smaller, shorter English camp in the mornings and a large English Camp in the evening. These camps will be arranged in groups on varying ability and grasp of the English language. This may seem like an odd this to do for some, to go and teach our language to people in their home country. But the Ukrainian (and broader European culture) prizes a multilingual ability. Many choose to learn English, German, or French to broaden their abilities and horizons for their vocations. This gives us a unique opportunity to reach the native Ukrainians and talk with them about Christ.

Our English Camp leader is Ryan Pierce (whom you met last week). Please pray again for Ryan, the teachers, and Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church. Also keep in your prayers the Ukrainian people whom the team will be meeting. Ask that the Lord would be opening their hearts even now, to prepare the field for the sowing of the seeds of the Gospel, and for the follow up of the church there in Kyiv.
