A note from our Pastor
Welcome to Huntersville ARP Church (affectionately known as HARP)! We are a community of Christians from all walks of life that has gathered in and served Huntersville since 1875. We hope that the information provided here is helpful to you and that you will soon visit us as we regularly gather together for worship, fellowship, and mutual encouragement. At HARP, you will find a genuine community of people who know their need for Jesus Christ and who love Him and others because they have experienced His love and grace. Here, you will find a warm, welcoming people dedicated to the pursuit of knowing Christ through God’s Word, nurtured in our Reformed faith and tradition, who desire to live for God’s glory in our everyday lives and share His goodness both here and throughout the world. In a frantic and divided age, HARP is a place of rest and blessing. When you visit with us, we believe you will agree!

What to Expect
Our Worship
Sundays are the centerpiece of our life together at HARP, and our time together is marked not only by reverent, joyful worship that connects us with Christians throughout history—through biblical preaching and teaching, the singing of Psalms and great hymns of the faith, and the confession of ancient creeds that link us to the early Church—but also by the sincere, sweet fellowship we share with one another. Our gatherings on Sundays are an essential part of our identity as a church.
Our Preaching
At HARP, we place a strong emphasis on preaching. This is because we believe that the sermon is meant to be an encounter with the God who speaks, rather than just a lecture or a popular-level commentary in spoken form. Therefore, preaching is intended to open up God's very Word to us and highlight the emphasis of each passage. You will not find entertainment, politics, or social commentary as our focus on Sundays. Instead, our sermons aim to bring you into a deepening relationship with God through His Word, helping you to know Him better, love Him more, and apply His Word in a way that helps you become more like Christ in every aspect of your life.
Our Ministry Opportunities
HARP offers many opportunities for you to plug in and be ministered to, as well as to use your own unique gifts for Christ and His Church. In addition to our Sunday morning worship, Sunday school classes, and Wednesday night fellowship mealand lessons, we offer various Bible studies, small groups, fellowship events, youth group, church-wide meals, and mission trips. Check out our Events Page for more info.
The best way to find out more is to join us this Sunday for worship!
